Your Log and iCloud
The exercises, sets, weights, reps, and weigh-ins you enter are stored on your device. Log also uses the private iCloud database associated with your Apple Account to sync your log when this service is available. No Log account is required. The publisher cannot access the contents of this private database. Storage and sync provide the app features you use.
Importing from Notes
Importing is optional. When you start an import, the text to analyze may be sent to a Google Gemini service through a Cloudflare-hosted relay to recognize exercises and workouts. The content passes through these services to produce the result you review in Log. The Log relay does not keep notes in a database, and its code does not log their contents. This does not mean that providers process no technical data. Their own processing and retention terms apply. Avoid including personal information in an import that is not needed to track your training.
Protecting the Import Service
To limit abuse and costs, the relay uses an installation identifier and a daily request counter. Each counter expires after 48 hours. This processing is based on the publisher’s legitimate interest in protecting the service. Network providers also receive the information needed to connect, including the IP address.
Website Visits
The website presents Log and its legal information. It includes no advertising or audience measurement tool. Cloudflare processes requests and technical data needed to serve and protect the website, based on the legitimate interest in ensuring its availability and security. Your explicit language choice may be stored in a NEXT_LOCALE session cookie. This cookie only remembers the chosen language.
Email Correspondence
If you write to hi@trylog.app, your address and the message contents are used to respond to your request. Depending on its purpose, this processing is necessary for the requested service or based on the legitimate interest in answering questions. Correspondence is kept while the request is handled and any necessary follow-up is completed, then deleted unless legal retention is required. Do not send health or log data that is not useful for your request.
Providers and Transfers
Apple provides iCloud, Google analyzes imports, and Cloudflare provides hosting and the network relay. Their processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. The safeguards for transfers and retention periods specific to these services are described in their terms and policies, available below. Log does not sell log data or use it to target advertising.
Log Data Retention and Deletion
Your log remains on your devices and in your private iCloud database until you delete it. Log settings let you erase log data; deletion syncs to your connected devices. Deleting the app does not necessarily remove iCloud data or Apple-managed backups. Source notes kept in Notes remain independent from Log.
Your Rights
Depending on the processing and the conditions set by regulations, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. For data processed by the publisher, write to hi@trylog.app. For your private log, use Log features and iCloud settings. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your country’s data protection authority.
Changes to This Policy
This page is updated when features or processing change. The date at the top of the page shows its last revision. A change that requires information or a choice in the app will be presented in the relevant context.
Share Program
At your request, Log stores a copy of the program’s name, schedule, routines, exercises, and targets on Cloudflare to provide the shared link, with no automatic expiry. Anyone with the link can view and keep a copy of the program. Your workout history isn’t included. The link stays available even if you edit or delete your program. This version has no control for removing a link. For a request about your data, contact hi@trylog.app.
